Hoppet on põhjalikult varustatud, valmis väljuma Vahemere
suunas. Laeva ümbritseb uudishimulik rahvamass. Tekil on olnud tihedat sagimist
esindaja. Plaksutatakse ning viimase sõna saab kapten: “Meeskond, pardale!”
Ilm on imeilus, kevadiselt hele päike saadab pilguga sadamast
väljuvat laevade paraadi. Hoppetit on saatma tulnud Sailing.ee kaunid jahid,
uhke aurulaev Katharina ning Merepääste paat. Meri lainetab, aeg ajalt pritsib
laineharjalt soolast vett vöörile ja tuul
sasib meeskonna kapuutse.
Istun laevatekil arvuti süles, peagi saab Eesti levi otsa.
Üks kindel peatuspaik hetkel on Kiel, kuhu jõuame umbes nädalaga, kuid
võimaluse korral peatub Hoppet ka Visby või Karlskrona sadamas. Kirjutamiseni.

Hoppet is well equipped and ready to take the direction to the Mediterranean. The ship is surrounded by curious people, it has been busy since 10 a clock in the morning.
Hoppet is well equipped and ready to take the direction to the Mediterranean. The ship is surrounded by curious people, it has been busy since 10 a clock in the morning.
Up in the mast there is a flag from Noarootsi, and the blue,
black and white is seen in the aft. The team of Hoppet is lined up on the quay,
this is the time for some speech from the founders of Puulaevaselts Vikan, the
director and practice teacher from Estonian Sea school and also from “Let’s do
it Mediterranean” representative. Finally the last word is for the captain:
“Crew let’s get on board!”
The weather is beautiful, sun is brightly sending the parade
of ships out of the harbor of Tallinn. There is many beautiful yachts from
sailing.ee, a magnificent steam ship Katharina and the boat from Coast Guard of
Estonia who have all come to send Hoppet to it’s journey. The sea is restless,
time to time the wave splashes to the deck and the wind is tearing the hoods
from the crew. Young men from Estonian Maritime school, who have come to Hoppet
to find out if they will ever be a real sailor, are already busy – who is
handling the ropes and who is washing the pot of soup. There is a modest smile
on the captains face. The weather is good, the ship is going nicely and the
mood is good.
